Space:1889 Data file- not showing up any more?

Hi, All.

I am running a Space:1889 camaign next week, using SW: Red Sands as my campaign world.

I managed to get the files working, but for some reason, I no longer have access to the Arcane Background: MIracles edge, only AB: MIracles (Arts). Am I doing anything wrong?

Thanks,

JM

I've just switched my main Hero Lab computer from being a Windows system to Linux and Hero Lab seems to have some weird issue with not being able to update through PlayOnLinux (or Wine), so I can't test any of that myself. Maybe the data file author or anyone else could help out until I can get a decent VirtualBox setup going so I can run misbehaving apps like this. Sorry.:(

EricaOdd has posted this at least twice, but the database had some issues the past few days. Anyway, if you have Fantasy Companion checked in the Configure Hero tab it will have the result that you mention. So, uncheck it. :)

Third time's a charm! :D

SteelyOne saw my post(s) before they went away.

So, yeah, the only AB allowed in Space: 1889 is a modified version of Weird Science. The others are hidden and disabled when you check the Space: 1889 box.

When you check the box to add the Fantasy Companion, it adds in the ABs that are unique to that book, but doesn't add back in the core ABs. Since the only version of Miracles in the Fantasy Companion is The Art, that's the only one that will show up.

In one of your user files you had 'povSKburro'. You either deleted it or you deleted the user file that had it. An option would be to put the data back into your savage folder.

Another is to open your character, click on "Portfolio" at the top of the screen, and then "Strip Missing Sources". I have never done that before, but it should work.
