Smite Power Missing?

Hi all, new user for SW...I searched for forum but couldn't find anything on this:
I'm trying to make a Novice SW character using Arcane Background-Magic, Spellcasting Skill, and the Smite power is not showing up as available on the Arcane tab. I am using the Fantasy Companion add-on. From everything I read in the rulebooks, it appears that this power should be available. Maybe I am missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

Gonna answer myself here to clear this up: I don't know what I did with the character that wouldn't allow the Smite power to be displayed in the list. I deleted the character and re-created it and then it worked fine. Sorry for the premature posting.
