Small Bit of Negative Feed

In general, I have loved Hero Labs.

After a lot of use, I do have two complaints, both involving 7th Sea...

One, a printed stat block doesn't show villain's schemes.
Two, there's no real option to suspend validation. For instance, you can't do a Montaigne who practices Sindaris.
Yes, this is against the rules, and yes, it sounds trivial.
But for everything there is a special case. This isn't just a product for PC's. It's used by GMs.

Two small flaws but it's amazing how effective these things are for crippling the product's usefulness were 7th Sea is concerned.

Okay, I'm done griping. Please fix.

Please send an email to support in regards the stat block, or raise it as a bug within HLO. This way you make sure that LW knows about it, and it might get addressed.
In regards validation - you can always ignore the reports. In HLC there was an adjustment to ignore validation with some reports - I don't know if that exists in HLO.

This is in the wrong forum; 7th Sea is only in Hero Lab Classic and doesn't have its own forum, so it should be in Hero Lab Discussion.

As Tarmor said, the stat block issue should be sent in as a bug report. A link to HLC's bug report form is on the Support page.

For the other thing, if HLC gives you a validation error but you can still pick it/add it to your character/however it works in 7th Sea HLC, you can usually just ignore the validation error and things will still work. If not then you might be out of luck; editing a copy to remove the restrictions might work or might not be easily possible. Either way, you'd need more expert help than I can give.

(FWIW: in HLO Pathfinder 1e and 2e you can suppress any particular validation message. In PF2e you can also mark things as allowed by the GM.)

Hope this helps.
