Skill Tricks?

I don't know if this might be related to the Stances and Maneuvers thread or not, but figured it deserved a seperate thread in any case. :)

in Complete Scoundrel (and some other book, I don't recall) there is the Skill Trick. there are four different categories and to take a trick you have to have the appropriate skill ranks, and spend 2 skill points on them.

For example:
Nimble Stand is a trick the requires you to have 8 ranks in the Tumble skill, and if you take it, then once during an encounter, you can stand up from prone without provoking an attack of opportunity.

Up the Hill requires you to have 5 ranks in both Balance and Jump, and allows you to move up stairs or steep incline with no movement penalty for one round.

Can you now, or will you be able to create these in HeroLab?

When we haven't been chasing down and fixing bugs this week, Colen and I have been going through all of the primary d20 books (mostly WotC) to identify functionality that isn't obviously available within HL yet. We're about 60% of the way through that review process right now and will hopefully have it finished early next week. One of the items covered in this process is the Skill Tricks. Once we've gone through everything, we're going to be mapping out the best ways to solve all this stuff and either add new features (if needed) or simply spell out how best to implement things. For Skill Tricks, there are at least two different ways that they can be implemented right now, but Colen and I need to figure out what's going to be the BEST way.

So we ought to have an answer regarding this (and lots of other stuff) within a couple of weeks, after we've finished our review and then had a chance to put our heads together to map out the best solutions for everything.

I just did some thinking about Skill Tricks, and realised there was a
way they could be easily implemented in half an hour. They'll be
included with the next release! :)

(Note that there aren't any skill tricks defined in the SRD, so you'll
have to define your own with the editor.)
