Simple, basic question/problem

Dunbar325

New member
I'm a new member/user of HL and am having an issue with created traits and feats. I cannot get them to integrate into HL, as in make the trait do whatever it is it's supposed to do. I found a work around by simply having a trait that does nothing listed on my character and adjusting the attribute accordingly. I would like to make the trait, in this case "Thug" and be able to select it and have it do what it does, "+1 to Intimidate." Can someone help me out with this?

Can you give a little more detail on what you are doing and how you doing it? Are you trying to create the Trait in the editor? If so, One thing a lot of folks dont do is "Test" the things they are creating. Just pull it up in the editor and click the Test button and it intigrates it into HL for use.

@Dunbar325 yea I am not sure I really understand what your asking either. I am not familiar with an existing trait called "Thug" so I am going to assume you asking how to use the editor.

Check out the 2nd question in the Editor FAQ post for suggestions on places to look that will get you up to speed on the editor.

Check out the "Common Terms of HL" also.

Apologies, yes I was trying to use the editor. What I was trying to do was create a trait called Thug that added a +1 to Intimidate. I did uses the test function and it made the trait but it didn't actually add anything to Intimidate. I did skim over the "help on using the editor." Perhaps I missed something. I'll check it out again. Any further help is much appreciated.

I think "eval script" might be my answer. I didn't have one when I created it. Not entirely certain I know what one is, really.
