Any idea if ShadowRun is going to be done for HeroLab?.

Looks very very cool from what I've played around with it.

Great Job on another great program LWD.

The last we heard from Catalyst, everything was a "go" in principle. The hold-up was that they still needed to get some additional stuff inked with WizKids regarding their license that had to be in place before we could ink a derivate license for HL. To my knowledge, that's where things currently sit. We're hoping to get this all nailed down soon. Colen runs a regular Shadowrun game, so we're all really anxious to get the green light on this one.

Hot dam. I'm waiting. I have to see if our distributor actually has it in stock. I'll defiantly be stocking it in the store.

This is a great idea. Good work Rob.

Can't wait for the Shadowrun module.

The thing with Shadowrun, is the guys publishing it and writing it, don't actually own the liscence for it. and when I say guys I'm serious in saying "guys" (there were last told 2 full-time guys doing it, though this probably changed since that was over a year ago). You have to talk to Wizkids to use shadowrun, because they are the owners of the liscence, Wizkids, from rumors I heard is harder to deal with then Wizards of the Coast.

To my knowledge, the license agreement is waiting for approval from WizKids, but I'll have to check on this to be sure of the exact status.

Well, if rumors are true, Catalyst game labs still has full rights due to their liscence, as well as wanting to get hero clicks and the like... so it will probably be on hold until they can get Topps to give up the ghost.

From what I've read Catalyst has full rights to Shadowrun and Battletech and they will continue to put out books. I know they are looking to acquire Hero Clix from Topps. I hope they get it. Would be a real shame to loose Clix. It sells great in my store.

I've got my fingers crossed for a HeroLab Shadowrun Module.

Right now, everything's in limbo until Topps and Catalyst finish talking. So let's not distract the LW crew by asking the same questions again and again so they can get back to important work.

Like, you know, finishing the authoring kit so I can get started on the Spirit of the Century module.

Any update on this? At GenCon, you guys had SR advertised on the displays and one of the sales reps mentioned that they were literally signing the deal that day (Sunday).

We hit a minor snag in the process and are working through the specific language in the license. We've worked out everything with the Catalyst folks and we're focused on getting the language sorted out so that it will get through the army of lawyers at Topps. That's no small feat BTW.

At worst though, couldn't members of the user community create this content using the Authoring Kit?

Absolutely. However, I can assure you that a game with the complexities of Shadowrun will take a LOT of time to develop. Probably more time than one or two users will want to invest on their own. So Shadowrun is one of those games that we would prefer doing in-house. The Catalyst folks concur with this opinion.

Good luck. We are starting a SR campaign in a few weeks, and would really like to have HL be able to do the chargen.
