Setting weight limits to bags/containers

Gumbytie

Well-known member
I have read through various documentation and haven't found what I am looking for, probably user error :)

So with an existing belt pouch or bag or a newly created bag type, is there a way to actually set the maximum weight or item amount that can be put into the container? Say I have a belt with pouches, a maximum of 6-items can be stored in this belt. How do I set that limitation so a player cannot add more to the belt?

This would also pertain to a bag of any sort.

If I cannot limit it by item count, can I limit it by total weight put into the container?

Thanks.

This isn't currently something we support, but it might be something we consider for the future if there is enough interest in it.

Actually this is a fairly decent idea. Maximum weight limit or item limits on containers would alleviate the overstuffed bag syndrome.

"A Golden chandelier? In a belt pouch? Wait, what really?"

I to would like to see weight limits on containers. Have it default to weight and have under configure hero a check box to set it by items instead.

This is something I would love to see. There are 5 people in my group and they all want the same thing. Count me as 6 votes for "Yes, please."

Well, I obviously would like it :) Everyone in my group uses the program but the "no limit" bag check gets abused a lot. Sometimes intentionally, others just because they assumed program would warn them it was full.

When WotC forgot to include the container capacities in the D&D 3.0 to 3.5 update, it was something a lot of people asked about. When Pathfinder came out, the questions were asked again. It will be interesting to see if Ultimate Equipment restores the idea.
