Save to PDF/Opening Bug

HeroLab use to save a character as a PDF and then open the pdf, but now everytime I save as a PDF i get the message:

No appropriate application could be found to view the file:
C:\Users\Shinjox\Documents\Hero Lab\Portfolios\Unknown.pdf

Hero Lab updated and I think there was a AcrobatReader update; is there something I need to do to get these to work together again?

I have this same problem. The drive that Herolab was on failed. Upon replacement of the drive and reinstallation of HeroLab, I get this whenever I save a PDF of the Hero.
Any Help ?

Have you tried reinstalling Acrobat Reader? Hero Lab just invokes the file by telling Windows "open this file like you would if the user double-clicked on it", so if there's a problem with your acrobat install, that would be affecting this.

Double left clicking on the very same PDF file in file explorer opens the PDF, as does right clicking and selecting Open With Adobe Reader. It's only with HeroLab that PDFs fail to open.

I'll try reinstalling Adobe Acrobat Reader again, but ...

EDIT: Reinstalling Acrobat READER by itself fixed the problem. In my case, my Adobe Suite CS5 and Adobe Reader were interfering with each other, the last installed taking precidence.
