Rules or bug? Eldritch Scion and Dragon Disciple

I have created a 5 Magus (Eldritch Scion)/2 Dragon Disciple character in Hero Lab, and I notice that the claws granted by the Bloodrager bloodline of the Eldritch Scion class say "requirements not met" the description lists no requirement other than being level 1 in the bloodrager draconic bloodline. Is this a bug or am I missing something in the interplay of the prestige class and base class?

Well you get the claw attacks from Dragon Disciple already. Seeing you don't grow extra limbs. You can only have claws attacks on your available hands. Meaning 2 claws from the Dragon Disciple.

Faq entry

And well PC generally are bipedal. So the requirement you aren't meeting is left over limbs to put the claws on. At least that's why I am suspecting it's happening.

As a small update don't forget the Magus doesn't stack with Dragon Disciple. Dragon Disciple calls out to be stacking with Sorcerer's. So the levels of your Magus's archetype won't stack with it.

Thanks for the reply, Togainu. I think I was unclear in what I was asking.

I understand that the claws granted by the Dragon Disciple PrC are a bit redundant, though the claws granted by the sorcerer bloodline are very specifically stated as being activated a certain number of rounds/day, whereas the Bloodrager entry simply states "you grow claws." This seemed to me to say that bloodragers gained the claws permanently as opposed to a certain number of rounds per day. This seemed perfect to me as I am building a natural weapon dragon-gish of awesomeness.

My further research has revealed to me that common interpretation of the bloodrager bloodline is that the claws only come out during mystic focus, and Hero Lab appears to take this interpretation as well. It makes sense, as it is stated that all abilities occur only during bloodrage (mystic focus) unless otherwise stated. The confusion comes, in large part, due to the fact that other bloodrager bloodlines state explicitly that the claws are only during bloodrage, whereas the draconic bloodline simply states "you grow claws."

My interpretation is that the bloodrager bloodline grants permanent claws, and the sorcerer bloodline grants temporary claws. Obviously you cannot grow more claws on the same limb, though at higher levels the claws do gain elemental damage, which you could only use for a limited number of rounds/day.

Also, it was also stated in an FAQ that bloodrager bloodlines are, in fact, progressed by Dragon Disciple levels.

As for the stacking stuff might need a bug report for that part of it

The reason why people say you only have the claws while raging is this bit:
When a bloodrager enters a bloodrage, he often takes on a physical transformation influenced by his bloodline and powered by the magic that roils within him. Unless otherwise specified, he gains the effects of his bloodline powers only while in a bloodrage; once the bloodrage ends, all powers from his bloodline immediately cease, and any physical changes the bloodrager underwent revert, restoring him to normal.

Seeing it doesn't specify anything different from it (as in "this is always active" or "this is active even when not bloodraging"). It means it falls back to the default which is only active while raging (you can of course always house rule that bit though). So the other bloodlines mentioning they only work during bloodrage is unneeded (safety net, but redundant).

And well it seems you found out now why the requirement not met was mentioned. Seeing you probably didn't have the Mystical Focus check marked in the in play tab
