I aggree that much more focus should be spent on Inventory. I have used
Magic Suitcase for some time now, and I vastly prefer it for my MTG
inventory. The main problem as I see it was that you made the inventory page
using the same template or whatnot for deckbuilding. This worked with
Suitcase because its layout was better suited for inventory. Meanwhile, you
product is much better at deckbuilding. That said, the layout you use for
deckbuilding does not lend itself at all to inventory management. You need
to make the inventory window so wide that it stretches all the way to the
edge of the window. There is no need for the info windows when you could
easily set it up so that you could have that information in the then-larger
Inventory window. With it set up that way one could pick and choose what
info one wanted displayed. This would be highly more effective than your
current Inventory set-up, and it would be easier to set it up so you see the
info you need for each particular game system.
Well, I hope I've stated my thoughts on the inventory clearly. I'd be more
than happy to help out in greater detail, you need only let me know. In the
meantime, all that rot about only using inventory when new sets come out is
quite wrong-headed. You see many of us trade and otherwise aquire
cards/figures on a day by day basis and at the same time prefer to build
decks/armies while sitting in front of our collection. Therefore, we end up
using Inventory more often than Deckbuilding. Don't get me wrong, as I said
your product is great for deckbuilding, but I myself use it mostly for doing
a search to fill that last 14 points in my Heroclix army or such.
I hope you take what I've said to heart, and I hope you improve the
inventory as soon as possible. Until next time...
