How does one access the add-on for Rise of the Runelords? I own it but not sure how to access each encounter?

I've tried that, but all I see is the We Be Goblins! library. My license shows I own RotRL. I've re-activated the license several times, but I still don't see the RotRL encounters.

Any thoughts?

If you purchased the package, you'll need to make sure that you have the latest Hero Lab and Pathfinder update. After you have those two updates, make sure that you download the "Rise of the Runelords" update from the Updates Mechanism. Then it should appear.
 
I've applied both updates—Hero Lab is at 7.0 and Pathfinder RPG is at 11.0. I don't see any option to download "Rise of the Runelords" from the update mechanism. In the Portfolio options, "Rise of the Runelords GM Content" is checked, but I still don't see any Rise of the Runelords content in the Library.

I do have the Community 3PP GM Pack installed. Could that be causing a problem somehow? Do I need to delete that?
 
Hi Gigigidge,

It's possible that the Rise of the Runelords update may not appear until you restart Hero Lab - try restarting the app, then checking for updates again. Do you see it in the list?

Unfortunately I've done that multiple times and reactivated the license multiple times and still don't see the Rise of the Runelords update anywhere.

Since I don't know what else to do at this point, I'm going to try deleting the Community GM Pack to see if that helps. If that doesn't work, I'm going to try and delete all the Hero Lab application files and re-install everything and "move" my license and see what happens. Hopefully one those two solutions will work (and I won't lose access to my license).
 
The community pack shouldn't affect anything, so don't worry about deleting that. Let me check your license real quick and see if I can figure out what's going on...
 
OK, when I activate Hero Lab with your license, here's what I see in the updates window - the Rise of the Runelords update is selected. I also see a blue exclamation mark on the "Select Game System" form, which invites me to download it when clicked. Do you see either of those?

I don't see either of those. I don't see the RotRL update option at all, with or without an exclamation mark.

Clarification: I see the Hero Lab 7.0 & Pathfinder 11.0 update. As far as I can tell both are installed. I do not see the RotRL update at all, with or without an exclamation mark.

Gigigiidge have you gone to the "View Updates" link in the upper right hand corner and from there it will bring up a pop up window like the one in the image that Colen provided. Then you should see Rise of the Runelords highlighted with the exclamation point.
 
Gigigidge, you're running OS X 10.6, right? Are you using Hero Lab on any other devices, or just on that one computer?
 
I don't have a View Updates link the upper right that I can see (if it makes any difference at all, I'm on a Mac), but I can get to the screen he showed, however I don't see RotRL update listed anywhere.

I still haven't gone all-in on the reinstall. Should I just try that, or is there something else you think I should try first?
 
When you go to the License menu -> Reactivate License, can you confirm that the email address you have listed there is the correct one for your license? I.e. the one that you can log in with on http://www.lonewolfdevel.com/?

If you have the wrong email address there, or if you have no email address saved, the RotR update won't appear in the list.
 
Thanks Colen! That was it! I never save my passwords out of habit. Saving it made the download available. :o

I'm getting an error downloading the file, but I suspect that's a temporary problem, since everything was downloading fine earlier.
 
Alright, glad that you can see it! Thanks for flagging the error - we'll need to release a bugfix update to address that, which I'll try to get out in the next few hours. :(
 
I've updated Hero Lab on the Mac to v7.0a - please grab that and let me know if you run into any further problems. Thanks for your patience!
 
Thank you for posting this. I never saved my email address either and wouldn't have thought to look there for my missing RotRL package.
