Remove Unwanted Game Systems

Theocrat

Well-known member
Hi all -
I am certain that others have this problem too. I downloaded but never use Shadowrun, 4e, Cortex or any of the other systems.
I'd like to remove them from the options screen. I'd prefer to have one that was Pathfinder RPG (with 3PP and house rules), a Pathfinder Society legal only and a Pathfinder Modern option if possible.
I saw a screen of something like this a long time ago but I'm not sure where.
Your thoughts and directions are appreciated.

I believe that you go into your program data folder and remove the folders which correspond to the systems you don't want. They'll come back in the next Hero Lab update, but this requires trimming only 2-3 times a year, better than most lawns.

There should be a dialog box that has a checkbox next to all the game systems (checked on for all by default). When you deselect a game system it will not show in the main window AND you don't show updates to those other game systems.

Its annoying to have to see updates for systems that you don't play. I download (thus wasting Lone Wolf server bandwidth), just so I don't see the update.

Any idea where to find that checkbox? I can't seem to locate it, and deleting the game systems didn't remove them from the start page, just put down arrows by them.

harmor was saying there "should" be a check box not there is one. :)

, and deleting the game systems didn't remove them from the start page, just put down arrows by them.
So you went into the Hero Lab\data\ folder and deleted the other game systems folders? As that is exactly what I do and I have no issues with them showing up after that. This will need to be redone for each HL upgrade not each Pathfinder data set upgrade.

No, I used the delete game system menu option inside HeroLab. Heh.

That did it, once I tracked down where it was hiding: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Hero Lab\data on my system.
