Realm works & wine.

I never used WINE, but I'm running it successfully in a Virtual-Windows-Machine using Parallels-Desktop for Mac under OS-X Yosemite.
 
For Realm Works, others have had problems. (See linked threads.) You're welcome to try, but your best option is to run a VM with Windows installed.

For Hero Lab, you'll want to check the Hero Lab forum. That decision might be made for you: if you end up running a VM for Realm Works and you want to use the Hero Lab integration features with it, then you'll need Hero Lab in the VM as well.
