Re-entering my RPGXplorer chars in HeroLab d20 - problems

Can someone help me, I have a few problems. I am moving characters over from my rpgxplorer to HeroLab and there are some issues.

My paladin in the other program had a spelllist to pick from on his char sheet. This won't let me pick the spells like that.

My other chars had a few more langauges and things, and I don't know how to over ride the red highlights and allow my changes

And there are some skills missing (Knowledges and Crafts) which I am going to have to override as well cuz i ran out of skill points and need to add some.
Any help would be great

AND THEN

I can't find spells in the roster for my wizard that was in the other program like Detect Secret Doors

My cleric's god doesn't have spheres of influence listed is that a problem that can be fixed?

For the knowledge and craft skills, there's an "Add additional skill" option at the bottom of the list. If you select "Craft:Other" or "Knowledge:Other", a field will be there for you to fill in for the specific knowledge/craft you have, if it isn't already on the list.

For your wizard, the spellbook icon is on the left hand side of the Wizard panel, so enter all the spells you know there, and then they will be available to select from.

Since a deity's sphere's of influence don't affect the character stat-wise, you can enter information like that in the background details, or in a journal entry.

The spell-list is something RPGExplorer has and HeroLab doesn't. Post a request if you want it, and Rob and Colen will consider adding it to the program.

Could you elaborate on your languages question, I'm not sure what problem you're having.

Paladins only get spells at level 4. Once you get to level 4, you should
be able to pick Paladin spells.

To take extra languages, you need to put points into the Speak Languages
skill; if you don't, you're breaking the rules, and so Hero Lab is
letting you know by turning stuff red. :) You can ignore the errors if
your GM allows it.

You can add the knowledge, craft (etc) skills that you use by clicking
"Add Additional Skills" at the bottom of the Skills tab.

Hope this helps! :)

Detect Secret Doors is definitely there as a wizard spell. Remember you
have to add it to your spellbook before you can memorize it.

If you're a cleric, you need to add the Knowledge domain and memorize it
as a Domain spell to use it.

Click the "Add Domain" zone at the top-left of the cleric tab and you
should be able to specify domains for your hero.
