Ranger Beast Master

I have a friend who is completely new to table top rpgs, and he has chosen to play a Dwarven Ranger Beast Master. In helping him to make sure his character makes sense and is right, I've noticed what appears to be some conflict between what the Pathfinder books say, and what Hero Lab's allows for this particular Ranger variant.

I'm pretty sure that the following things are wrong in Hero Labs.

Improved Empathic Link should be available at level 6, it is currently shown as available at level 4 according to the "Special" Tab in the upper right corner of The Ranger Class tab.

The class is also showing that the Ranger can pick an animal companion at Level 1, but the Animal Companion from Beast Master replaces Hunter's Bond, which is available at level 4. A Ranger can't have it at level one because his effective Druid level for determining a companions stats would be -2, since that level is determined by taking his Ranger Level and subtracting 3 from it.

Edit:I'm not sure how I should have handled this, so I posted it here, and I also reported it to Paizo through the "Report a Pathfinder Bug" thread. Hopefully one of those gets it looked at and fixed.
