I finished building data files for Agents of Gaming's Fleet Action
system. However, now I'm having problems publishing them.

abexport worked fine, and I made sure that I can reinstall the files
from the .ab file it produced. However, when I ftp it to a website,
then download it (Netscape) and try to import the files, AB tells me
that the files are corrupted in a way often caused by Netscape, and
that it can probably fix it. It can't fix it.

Once I get this working, I'll point the company to where the files
are, and get their permission to publish them. After I do, where
should I make them available (the friend's LINUX box I'm using as a
temporary location probably shouldn't be burdened with too many
downloads, so that's not an option)? My thoughts were Wolflair and
ab-files.

How come GW has not given permission for their games to have data files released through the Wolflair site? We all know how protective GW is about their copyrighted material but this in no way compromises their domain and if anything increases sales of their products.

Well, that was what I tried to convey to them. It is also what every other
game company has recognized, hence the widespread endorsement of Army
Builder. However, GW's executives feel differently on the subject, so they
are the only game company of any size that has not fully endorsed Army
Builder at this time. :-(

Thanks, Rob

By all means, ab-files as well. It's a good way to let people know that
new ones have been released, rather than telling them to check a web
site every day.
