Problems with Lanuages in SavageWorldsDeluxe

Hi,
after working through the first characters I was unable to find a place to enter the languages the characters know.
Then I read something about entering them below the skills. I looked and found nothing.
Only after I gave the character the "Linguist" Edge, I was able to enter them. Take away the Linguist and they are all gone. Without the Linguist the Language Slots are 0, adding it gives you slots in the height of the half die.

Is this supposed to work this way? :confused:
 
As far as I know Hero Lab is handling SW languages correctly, but you may have missed the setting options:

- Languages in Savage Worlds are usually Knowledge Skills (purchased as normal) unless you have the Linguist edge (as you noted).

- The Multiple Languages Setting rule is available in the Configure Hero screen. That lets ANY character take half their Smarts in Languages, and lets Linguist take an additional "half."
