Problem with update

Every time I open HeroLab and it does it's updates I get an error. I then have to click yes a couple times and the internet connection window pops up. After a while though it finally gathers the new content that needs a update. Why does it do this and how can I fix it? It never did this before and just started doing it in the last month or so.
