Hey, so now that 2.1 is out, I tried to use the chld attribute to fix
the stats for all the children units, however, when you use the expr
form on the chld attribute (chld:type@childstat=(parentstat) )
the "parentstat" in this case is actually the child's stat.
To expalin with example:
I have a stat Quality, which I want all children to have the same as
the parent. I have an option on the parent that increases the
Quality stat by two for each one selected (done through a table).
Then, on the child, I have the following:
chld:spec@qty=(qty)
nothing happens. I change it to
chld:spec@qty=(6) to check if its working, and its working, so then I
try:
chld:spec@qty=(qty*2), the child's stat is 4, the parent's is 6, when
I choose the option that runs this attrib, the child's changes to 8,
not 12.
Now - is this a mistake, because I recall that in 2.0d the chld
attrib would use the PARENT'S stat in the expression form, whereas
here it does not. Or maybe it never did, and that's why it never
worked. Anyways, is there a way to mirror a stat using the chld
attribute?
