Problem Upgrading - please help

I have the old version 2 CD that I bought years ago, and recently have come back to the hobby. I need to upgrade to be able to use the new files for games like Warhammer 40k. When I tried to upgrade to 3.3b it went to Demonstration mode, even though the original program was installed in Full Version first. I can't use the license activation as on the old disks there was no license number to input. I'm posting here hoping someone from the company will see and be able to help me. I've tried emailing support a few times since last week and have not gotten any response at all. Hopefully someone here can help me. Thanks.
 
When we released V3, that was a major new version and not merely an update. We also switched to a completely new licensing method. We provided an upgrade path for V2.x users at the time that ran for quite awhile. However, that was six years ago and is no longer an available option.

At this point, you can continue using V2.x without any difficulty via the CD, including having access to all the V2.x updates via our website. However, if you wish to use V3.x, you will need to purchase V3 - it is not and never was a free upgrade from V2.
