Problem loading character when on a non-basic panel

If you are viewing a non-basic panel (e.g. "Fighter" panel) and you then load a character who does not have that panel, then the whole panel menu goes blank, causing the loaded character to be unbrowseable.

Switching back to the previous portfolio does not seem to fix this problem either, the panel bar stays blank, and a reboot is required to restore workable state.

You can also make HL work again by going to the "File" menu and
selecting "Switch Game System", then reloading the d20 system.
