Has anyone else had the strange printing problem that was mentioned
in a previous message?

I have been able to get around it sometimes if I click on OK on the
Windows Printer Properties dialog and then click OK on the regular
Printer Dialog fast enough. If I don't do it fast enough, I get
the "ArmyBldr.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience." Error Message and AB disappears. I
have also found that I can also cause the error by moving either
Print Dialog Window around on the screen a bit.

Has anyone else been able to reproduce this error? Has anyone from
Lone Wolf tried to do so?

Any ideas?

Dan.

Given your description of the problem not occurring if you click the OK
button fast enough, it sounds like AB is crashing due to an output/screen
rendering problem. If you wait too long, AB will try to update the screen
and crashes, probably still using something that was intended for print
output only.

No one has ever reported this problem before, and given the behavior, it
almost has to be something unique in either the roster's contents and/or
the printer settings you have configured within AB. Try resetting all the
print settings within AB to their defaults. Does that fix the problem? If
so, then try adding your settings changes back in until AB crashes. At that
point, we'll know what the problem is.

If resetting things doesn't work, the problem is likely to do with a
particular unit/item/option in the roster you are printing or the printer
drivers. Try creating a new roster and adding a simple unit to it, then
print. Does the problem occur? If so, then it may be an issue with your
printer drivers. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your printer,
which can be obtained from the printer manufacturer's website.

If a simple roster works, start recreating your roster slowly and print at
intervals. When AB crashes, that should indicate where the problem is
occurring.

As a last resort, you can save your roster to HTML, load the file into your
browser, and then print out the roster that way.

Hope this helps,
Rob
