Print out

I did as suggested, and used MS Edge for the printing of the character. Though it is "better" than the Mozilla affair, it still does not print an actual character sheet as what is supposed to be. Is there something being done to be able to print a character sheet of the character instead of a random pile of information papers? Perhaps like, you know, in the format that is at the end of the book?

HLO character printouts are similar to what HLC puts out (at least for Pathfinder 1). It doesn't print out a Paizo character sheet as you are asking.

Yeah, I tried Edge too and discovered that it has printing issues as well (which I have reported and had acknowledged). Since on Windows I normally use Firefox with Edge as my generic backup browser this left me with a problem, which I solved by downloading a copy of Opera Portable and basically setting it up as my Herolab Online App. I've been pretty pleased with how that's working out, but the printout, while complete, is still in the style of the program's display and not like the Paizo sheet.

HLC does print out in a sheet like thing, unlike whatever this is.

Edge has troubles? It seems alright for what it is, but I thought Crome was about the same way?

Yeah, I got confirmation after my bug report that Edge has its own issues with printing. I don't know about Chrome, because I only have that on Android and I haven't tried printing from it.

The formatting of the print output seems almost intended to be used with legal paper rather than standard 8.5x11 letter paper. Is this intentional?

Whatever the situation is the printed sheets leave a lot to be desired. This is a big issue. Please work on cleaning up the print and/or detailing how best to print.

Is there going to be a "print" page that will organize the information into a character sheet at some point, or is the random info blocks the only way to get the character into print form?

In the upper right hand corner of the screen when you have a character open in a gear icon; click on this. In the menu which appears click on "Print". This will bring up a character sheet which you can print you your local or networked printer or to a PDF (if you have the capability to do so).

Yeah, that give us the block thingies and doesn't work well with Mozilla. I actually want an actual character sheet instead of blocked info that takes up 10 pages for maybe three pages of character info.

That's a known issue that has nothing to do with HLO. It is an issue within Firefox that has been addressed on this forum a few times already. I have no problem printing character sheets in Chrome.

But that sheet is still using the blocks instead of a structured character sheet. Chrome just allows information to populate within bigger blocks, where Mozilla has to have every piece separate from the others.

There simply has to be a way to have a print out character in a sheet structure in much the same way as Classic, or better. Chrome is not a viable web browser as it cuts out much of the tools needed to use web sites proper, Java being in the forefront. Edge is so behind on things, it is silly.

Why use the print structure from the browser? Shouldn't one be able to print from a PDF make up or some other way to go beyond the silly web portals.

I see. Seems I misunderstood, thank you for the clarification. I don't have HLC, but I found this PF1 sample character sheet You are looking for something more like this or what the official character sheets look like? Just trying to get an idea of what it is you want.

In theory, the new program should be able to print out a sheet, custom or one that emulates/is the sheet from the back of the book, that fills in the information from the character generator.

In practice, neither program has done this completely, though Classis has a better representation than the blocks for the printing in this newer (alpha) program.
