Prestige Class with Animal Companion

I have a Paladin prestige class that gives an Animal Companion. In the Minion section of the editor, I have listed "Animal Comp. Starts at..." set to 1. This is where I encounter problems.

If I do not already have a class with an Animal Companion (Paladin has Divine Bond (Weapon)), then the AC will not show up on the Prestige Class. If the other class does have an AC, (Paladin with Divine Bond (Paladin Mount)), then it will show up. Is there another option that I need to mark so that it appears at all times?
 
Are you saying you set the prestige class to have an animal companion, but it isn't showing on the prestige class tab? Are you sure you bootstrapped all the necessary picks for the animal companion?
