Prestige class - partial level benefits?

Ok,

I'm working on a Prestige class for a Psionic class from the Psionics Unleashed supplement. This class, the Metamind, at certain levels adds to the manifesting power of a previous Psionic class, adding to Powers (Spells) Known, Powers (Spells) Cast, and Power Points gained.

However, at some of the levels, the only thing the Metamind does is increase the Power Points total as if had gone up a level. Is that possible with the current HL setup or will the user have to manually increase their totals?
