Possible big with armor class and dexterity bonus?

Kevbo

New member
Hello all, I'm new so sorry if this isn't the way I'm supposed to do this

I am noticing that for high dexterity bonuses that herolab isn't giving the full bonus to the armor class, even if it is appropriate with the armor that is being worn

I've experimented with different characters and different types of armor, and the big is the same

With one character (a male human), I put them in no armor, with a dexterity of 22 (+6 bonus) but they only received a +3 bonus to their armor class. It didn't matter what I did. I put bracers of armor on them, as it said no armor, mithral chain shirts, all armor that has a max dexterity bonus of more than +6, but the character sheet only gave them credit for +3. I had to go in and give them a manual dodge bonus of +3 to get them to get the full benefit of their dexterity

To ensure it wasn't unique to the character, I created a female elf, with the same ability score, a 22, and had the exact same problem. She also only received a +3 bonus to her armor class for her dexterity. I put her in celestial armor, no armor, etc etc. But could not get it to work

Is this a known bug?

Something I am missing?

I've been playing D&D since Gary Gygax, first edition and the late 70s, and pathfinder for the last 5 or 6 years now, so I'm a fairly experienced gamer...but I'm relatively new to herolab.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give

Yep, went back and re looked at everything and realized everyone was encumbered....

I had given everyone the "kits" at creation and then added the equipment individually so that I could keep tally of individual items and see what everyone had...and had then forgotten to go back and remove the kits...so everyone was doubled up on a ton of stuff (wow some of those kits are heavy)

Thank you for indulging my senior moment

:)
