Portraits with Transparency

Unless I'm doing something wrong, it doesn't seem that Hero Lab properly supports PNG with alpha transparency 100% correctly? It embeds them fine in the portfolio but...

1. In the Personal tab, transparency shows as "black"

2. If you choose Portfolio -> User image Size -> Shrink images... it replaces any transparency with black.

Is this by design or can this be fixed?
 
We don't have any support for transparent portraits, I'm afraid. :( For transparent PNGs, the best idea is to save them with an appropriate background color using an image editor, then load them into Hero Lab.
 
OK, I can deal for now. I will just remember not to use the Shrink image feature. It seems you save them in the portfolio just fine at least.
