Plots vs Quest Topics

I've been having trouble keeping some sub-plots organized so I decided to try out the plots feature. And lo, it is awesome. But then I noticed that it was essentially duplicating the information I had previously contained within "Quest" topics.

Pros for plots: superior graphical layout

Pros for Quest topics: allows organization of contained scenes in nested hierarchy, more comprehensive topic linking.

How does everyone use these two types of information storage?
 
You can put the plot thread on the left of the RW window, and use it to navigate to the additional detail of the full topics appear in the main part of the RW window.

I will be using the plot thread display to navigate the opening part of my campaign which is quite linear.
