Players Can't Level Up

Hi Everyone,

I have a Patron-level account for Pathfinder 2e and my players all have Apprentice accounts. I have them all assigned to my campaign and had no issues making characters. Now that they've hit second level, they try to level up and the system says "The Pathfinder 2nd Edition Demo only allows the creation of level 1 characters."

My understanding is if they have Apprentice accounts, then they don't need to also buy the game system.

What do we need to do so they can all access my stuff and level up?

Thanks.

Are the characters in the campaign itself, in addition to the content being shared with the players?

There are two important details to verify. I'm guessing the second one will be the issue, since that's something we did a poor job of messaging and defaulting for Apprentice accounts when we first rolled it out.

First, does the campaign have content sharing enabled? This is controlled on the Settings tab of the Campaign. If not enabled, then the players will have PC created with Demo accounts, for all practical purposes.

Second, is the PC owned by the campaign or the player? It needs to be the campaign to take advantage of content sharing. If not, the Apprentice accounts will behave as Demo accounts and be limited to 1st level characters.

If neither of those is the problem, we'll need to figure out what isn't working, so please open a support ticket.

Hope this helps!

Glad you got it resolved! And we're reworked the creation process to hopefully avoid this confusion for other users in the future. :)
