Player-selective reveal

Is there a way to reveal objects to an individual player rather than all the players? I've been playing with it and I don't see a way to handle that.

Currently no.

This is a long requested feature, and my understanding is that it is something that is on the development roadmap. However, there are several other big features ahead of it - most notably the Content Market.

Just to be clear, the planned enhancement is CHARACTER-specific reveal, not just PLAYER-specific. For those cases where one player controls more than one character.

This is my work around for this.

Step 1: Create a tag group with each of your player's characters names.
Step 2: Created a multi-tag field in each topic based on that tag.
Step 3: Enable the field above to be seen by all players.
Step 4: When your players log in they must use the filter by tag and use their character's name.

All the topics on the left will now be shown for the character that is filtered. As long as you have honest players this seems to work ok.

Your players must be able to see the field or else the filter will not work for them. Also this only works for whole topics.

Intriguing solution!

FYI, you can also assign tags to individual snippets now, so you can potentially extend this approach to snippets, although the snippets shown to players will only be tagged and not actually filtered. So it's an small improvement for you, but an improvement nonetheless. :)
