Would it be possible to add an option that allows you to add a upbringing feat from pathfinder as a first level bonus feat. Like suggested in the players guide.
 
In the meantime, open up one of the sample characters and look at how it's done there - use an adjustment to add 1 to the number of feats allowed, then it won't give you an error.

That's a great idea! We'll try to get that integrated into the stuff we
release for Pathfinder 4, out soon.
