Outsider martial proficiencies

So I'm making an Aasimar Oracle. Aasimars have the outsider creature type which states "proficient with all simple and martial weapons and any weapons mentioned in its entry", however I still only seem to be proficient with simple weapons. Is this a glitch or am I missing some rule somewhere that says this doesn't apply to my character?
