Orcs&Goblins bugs

New member
Hi!

Here are some bugs I noticed in new O&G, all of them are made in POINT COSTS of common magic items:
Biting Blade - is 10pts, should be 5pts
Sword of Might - is 20pts, should be 10pts
Sword of Battle - is 25pts, should be 15pts
Sword of Striking - is 30pts, should be 15pts
Staff of Sorcery - is 50pts, should be 30pts
Enchanted Sheld - is 10pts, shold be 15pts

That's all I noticed - easy to correct, so hopefully will be fixed quick (please?)

Hi,

I also noted, that there are some more minor error:
- The "Buzgob's Knobbly Staff" doesn't exist in the new edition any more.
- as already mentioned in the other thread: The "Bigged's Kickin' Boots' only cost 30 point.
- The staff of sorcery only costs 30 points
- The talisman "Idol of mork" (-1 to hit modifier) is missig
- The arcane artefact now named "Idol of Mork" has the wrong name (in german, something like lucky coin)

I also found one bug (So far)
It states in the description for Goblin Wolf Riders that if they take light armor they are no longer fast cavalry. It should be 'a shield' and not light armor, as wolf riders come with light armor by default.

Thanks.

the talisman you call idol of mork, are infact called effigy of mork but is still missing and Buzgob's Knobbly Staff is one of the cancelled items

otherwise Cheers

Hy, I've got two bugs there........

With the new rulebock, you are allowed to use two Snotling Pump Wagons as one Special Unit. I think the Armybuilder doesn't work in this case.
The second one ist, that there are no Squiks. Have you forgotten the Squicks and the Sqickhoppaz???

Choppas
-Text reads "If armed with a single Choppa, +1 strength when charging on foot." Choppas now give +1 strength even if the model has two Choppas and give +1 strength the first round of combat, even if not charging. Also now count as hand weapons, so they should give the +1 armour save in close combat to Orc Boyz, Savage Orc Boyz, Black Orcs, et cetera. (Yay Choppas!)

Snotling Pump Wagons
-are listed as Unbreakable with Ld 10, but now they are just Stubborn with Ld 4 and Immune to Psychology.
-they should also be listed as a Chariot, as it can be killed by Strength 7 attacks and take damage when moving into terrain.

Characters and Chariot mounts
-the new wording does not say that the Chariot will take up a special slot as in the previous book. i think that heros/lords mounted in chariots should not take up the special slot.

Orc Chariot
-Listed as having hand weapon instead of Choppa.

Gigantic Spider & Spider Riders
-Are not listed as Fast Calvary.

Night Goblins
-Have a tab called "Blood" with the option "Night Goblin Shields" (which is also listed in the Unit Info)that should not be present. This option does not go away if the unit buys short bows.

Black Orcs
-Armed to the Teef allows for 2 hand weapons in description, but should be 2 Choppas.
-No longer have the Quell Animosity Rule for block units (only characters have this rule).

Squig Hoppers
-Are not listed as having Animosity

Savage Orcs
-When upgraded to Big 'Uns this unit is given an option for a Magic Standard, which it should not receive. If a Magic Standard is purchased, an option error occurs. In the description for Big 'Uns it says that by upgrading the unit to Big 'Uns allows for a Magic Banner, but this is no longer the case.

That's about it for the normal unit entries. I'll go over the characters later! Thanks for all of your hard work!

Here is one I found: The Ironback Boar does not show up in the stat line as a boar, and does not modify the rider's SV by +2 as it should (being a boar and all).

When a Savage Orc Big Boss or Warboss is mounted in an Orc Boar Chariot, the Chariot should gain Frenzy as now all mounts gain Frenzy if the rider has it. (Awesome!)

Another thing - I noticed that wyvern stats are obsolete. He now have 3 poisoned attacks, and point cost has changed (I don't remember what is new one at the moment)

Magic error

On page 40 is the little waaagh and it says Gobin shamans roll a D6 and on page 41 is the big waaagh and is says Orc shamans roll a D6 - so you will need to fix this that only Gobin shamans can only have access to little waaagh and Orc shamans can only have access to big waaagh.

If you noticed, there is typed BOAR in it starting line, so it still have stats.

Well i noticted that you have missed the extra goblin and wolf option to the Goblin Wolf Chariot otherwise

What exactly does this mean, MrOgre?
Waazdag is right, you should at least see the +2 sv added when you use the Ironback. It really should show up with a stat line as well for BOAR since it has all of a BOARS attributes (including +1 str on charge - TUSKER CHARGE). It's a magic item, but it's also a boar...

I still get extra goblin and wolf options. Just select them and click on the ADD symbol - works great!

Zactly my point. Since you cannot select the "BOAR" mount option (thus adding the BOAR stat line to the profile of the hero) AND select the Ironback Boar selection; it doesn't come out clearly on the army list that the item is in fact a mount/BOAR. PLUS, it fails to add the +2 AS to the model that you get with the BOAR selection...

Maybe it should be listed as a MOUNT option that also takes up an enchanted item slot...

Snotling Pump Wagon
Information is correct for this unit in the upper unit area, but incorrect once you add the unit (shows old info once you add the unit).
Pump wagons are now stubborn, not unbreakable.

Giant
Typo in the unit notes

Doom Diver Catapultt
Unit notes: Info is actually on page 27 :P

Grimgor
It used to be that if you fielded Grimgor, he had to be General. Nothing says he has to be the general anymore. Not sure what's up with that, but this may change.
One thing is Da Immortulz, Grimgors bodyguard. The new rules say that there MUST be at least once unit of Black Orcs in Grimgors army (almost sounds like he's the General, huh?).
The bug is basically that if Grimgor is selected as a unit, then the composition should not be validated unless one unit of Black Orcs (<=10) is added as well. This unit carries a magic standard that gives it HATRED and IMMUNE TO PYSCHOLOGY (just like Grimgor) ONLY IF GRIMGOR JOINS THE UNIT.

Here's how I might do this:
  1. The way I would script this is to validate only if there is a Black Orc unit in the same army as Grimgor.
  2. Make an additional option for Grimgor called "Da Immortulz" (like how you can select Big'Uns) and this automatically gives a min 10 Black Orcs as a Bodyguard to Grimgor with HATRED and IMMUNE TO PSYCHOLOGY based on HIS banner (which is not talked about in this book, other than the name of the Standard Bearer himself)

I see nowhere where you can add musician, boss or standard to Grimgors bodyguard...anyway, I think option 2 is probably the best way to deal with this

debelial is right, the stats are wrong.

Add 1 atk for a total of 3 attacks

All attacks are poison

Tail attack is gone

Cost is still 200 pts

Night Goblin Fanatics

While working on my Night Goblin army I ran into a problem with fanatics, they are a single check box under unit options valued at 25 points. This is the cost of one fanatic but you can have up to 3 per unit. Can we get something like the old nets code to allow buying up to 3 of them per unit?

nevermind the above I figured out you can just up the unit count on the roster to add the extra fanatics.

by the way, to everyone working on updating the lists and submitting them for our use, thank you very much.
