Link A to X using 'incl'. This assumes you can never deselect A.

Assign option A whatever unit X pays for it, and link it in using
'cost'.

OK.

Say the option costs 10 points per +. It should have attributes:

rang:1-x
more:Less10Pt=auto

The Less10Pt should cost -10 points, and should be hidden ('hide'
attribute).
