Oath of Vengence

I just have a question. I’m currently using the iPad version. I just rolled an Oath of Vengeance paladin. It’s the one where I get to exchange Lay of Hands for more Smiting awesomeness. I go to look at the character sheet and the counter of the total number of smites I have available per day is still the same. (I’m lvl 4. With an extra lay of hands feat.) It’s showing as 2, which by my estimation should be a total of 5. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a widget I don’t have selected? Is there another way to input this information to make the display change? I WANT TO KNOOOOOOW!

Oath of Vengeance gives you the option to trade two LoH for a Smite Evil but doesn't require it, so your base numbers don't change. Just mark off 2 LoH when you make the trade-off and you're good.

Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a lever that I hadn't pulled. I've also noticed that when I activate a smite it's only adding a +2 bonus to my ac, when my charisma modifier is sitting pretty At a +3. My understanding of smite evil is that it grants a bonus equall to my charisma mod.

Do you already have a deflection bonus to AC, like from a ring of protection? Smite evil is a deflection bonus and thus only the higher would apply.

Ding ding! +1 ring of protection. Which I was kinda attached to as a paladin. But now with smiting more often I might just sell it off. Mhmm thanks guys for all the help. I'm sure I'll have more questions later

Just remember that your smite AC bonus does you squat against neutral and good opponents.
