Good morning, all. This is a follow up post to one that sent in yesterday asking for help - I haven't seen that post hit yet, so I assume you're busy. But I've got to tell you that I am not happy with how the download process goes - or doesn't go - with 4e. I started this process yesterday at noon, my time. It is 6 AM the following day, and still not done because I had to start over at 7 PM last night!
It took me a while to finally find a thread about what was going on from user AussieLauren:

By the way, this is a post from April 10....2010! and of course there are plenty of post even before that!
I purchased the 4e add-on for Hero Lab based on the strength of your other products. I may not be the biggest Hero Lab user, but I DO use it. Now I know that you can't control Wizards of the Choad. I know they're only in it to get that subscription fee - which I will be cancelling immediately. And I know that you guys gotta get paid too, but come on, really? Days and weeks to download data files for a program? And this is an issue still three plus years later?!?!?
Had I researched this before I purchased the 4e add-on from you, I wouldn't have bought it. And that's sad, because Hero Lab is a great product! I seriously do tell my gamer friends to get it - they're all broke, but I tell them!
I knew I'd have to get the D&D Insider subscription going in. Fine, I'll pay the piper. But honestly, I think you guys should have put a disclaimer or something out there warning people about the potential problems. I would have felt a lot better going in about this. Or better yet, if you knew this was going to adversely affect YOUR users, then stop selling the product! Yeah, someone else might make the money, but I think Hero Lab/Lone Wolf Development would look better in the end for not having a crappy product. Because honestly, I thought that the problem was Lone Wolf.
By the way, 7:00 AM now, my time - yes, I took an hour to write this - and STILL trying to download the files.
