Nosoi Familiar stats off

I have character L8 that has just taken a nosoi psychopomp as a improved familiar. Nosoi have an INT of 11. The familiar feat would give an INT of 9, so I would expect it to take the best of those two.

However, my improved familiar has an INT of 18. I adjusted it down, but any idea of why this happened?
