Non-Standard Items

My druid has decided to have studded leather armour. However, this studded leather armour has wooden studs so I'm allowing him to have it. Is there any way I can add this to his character portfolio in Hero Lab?

Open HL, then go to Tools/Launch Editor. In the Editor, go to File/New Data File.

Find the Armor Tab. In the bottom left there's a 'New (Copy)' button. Select 'Studded Leather' in the box that opens (make a note of the item's Unique ID).

Put your own Unique ID in the appropriate spot (top, just right of middle) - arDStdLth, maybe. Name your item (Druid's Studded Leather?). Put in a description if you wish. In the right column just below the description there a 'Contains Some Metal?' entry - uncheck that. Go the the 'Save' button in the bottom left (close to the 'New (Copy)' button). Then go to the 'Test' button in the upper left.

Finally, go to 'File/Save' and save your file.

I think I've got all the steps in there, but if someone else reads this and sees something I did wrong let the OP know!

Close the editor, and you should have 'Druid's Studded Leather' selectable in the Add New Armor box.
