non-standard Animal Companion for a Bard

Our GM has a home brew critter that we've discovered in the AP. At Level 4, my Bard character will have the ability to take the creature on as an Animal Companion.

Problem: the creature's stats are taken from the Dire Badger, which isn't an HL allowed Animal Companion for a Bard, but the GM has approved the exception.

Question: Could someone tell me how to make this feasible within the HL Editor? Or is there another workaround that would be elegant and simple?
