Non mouse pull down menu

The first edition AB had menus that could be activated via finger
controls and didn't require a mouse. V2 changed that. I suffer from
pain in may hands and wrists and use the mouse as little as possible.
Is there a way to activate this keyboard shortcut?

I am talking about the ability to "select an army" and "select a
scenario" under CREATE A NEW ROSTER.

I do a lot of tinkering with AB and really love it and so am
constantly choosing armies and scenarios when I test my programming.

Perhaps there is already a way to access the menus without a mouse.
It used to be Alt-down arrow, I believe.

You are correct that V2.0 removed keyboard support from the drop-lists.
Since that change I can count on one hand the number of users who have
commented on it, so adding it back in was never a high priority. It's
actually something that *I* miss, since I prefer the keyboard as well, but
there have always been more important features to add. V2.2 is coming out
in a couple of days, so it's too late to add it to V2.2. I'll see about
bumping it up on the priority list for the next update.

Another suggestion is to switch to a trackball. I used to have some
problems with Carpel Tunnel Syndrome due to working long hours on the
computer for a zillion years. I switched to a trackball a couple of years
ago and those problems virtually went away within a few weeks. It took a
little adjusting at first, but it makes a HUGE difference if you have wrist
pain.

Thanks for thinking about it. I run a campaign us AB and one of the
other players also is non mouse user. That's what gave me the impetus
to mention it.

I switched to a trackball and worked fine for awhile then my finger on
my right hand started twitching. Oh well.

I just got beat up about that by the Beta test team. It's high on the
priority list for the next release AFTER V2.2.
