Hi, can anyone help a new user with a couple of queries?

My character should be encumbered with their weight, but it doesn't seem to be affecting my speed which is still listed as 30, how does encumbrance work in hero lab?

Secondly, it keeps prompting me for a second personality trait in background, surely you can only have 1?

Welcome :)

Phb: pg 124 it does list 2x personality traits. I questioned this at the start too.

I dint think I have ever managed to encumber a character. Will need to do some testing.
 
Also, you might want to check under Character > Configure hero; near the bottom. There are option to disable Encumbrance & to use the Encumbrance variant from the DMG as well as the regular encumrance rules.
