If I want to use Hero Lab with D&D 4e what do I need to purchase? Do I need the online subscription to D&D internet content? Or can I just buy the PHB, DMG, MM along with the Hero Lab 4e data files and I am good to go?

Note that I already own Hero Lab and Pathfinder data files.

We're not on the forums continuously, so while it's an easy one, we spend the majority of our time trying to get products developed and only pop into the forums sporadically. :-)

To use Hero Lab for 4E, you *will* need a DDI subscription to obtain the full content. You can fully test Hero Lab with 4E in demo mode. The only things you won't be able to do in demo mode are save and print (but you *can* print preview). Once you download the 4E data files, open the manual and you'll find instructions on running the provided tool to pull the content down through your DDI account and automatically convert it for use with Hero Lab.

WARNING! Wizards just updated the Compendium and broke a bunch of stuff. They said they would be fixing these things in another update next week. So the tool we provide will NOT currently work until the issues are fixed in next week's update by Wizards. You'll find more details about this situation in another post in this forum.
