I have just purchased multiple packages and now when I try to make a new character the classes tab only shows summoned creature options and I cannot find the classes 'button'.

Please help me figure out what I might have checked in the configure hero box that is doing this.

Another question. What do I need to have checked or not checked to be able to select the Gnome varients such as Lava Gnomes

I have all the options under ARG checked. Everytime I select Gnome the only options on that page change to alignment, Diety & faction. Am I missing which tab I should be on to select alternate race options?
 
It will be easier to tell what I don't have.

I don't have the full Adventure Path packages, Monster Codex or Advanced Bestiary according to my character configure dialog box

The right tab is the "Background" tab that it sounds like you are on. You did activate those books for "this" specific character? So open the character and press "CTRL-K" and make sure the ARG is check marked as the allowed books are saved with each character....

I don't recall anyway to prevent the ART's from displaying if you have the right book check marked.
 
It is a new character so I chekced my defaults and the ARG is checked. I tried to load a character that I know has it and she loads just fine with Lava Gnome. I have no idea what else to try.

Post the character. You do this using the "Manage Attachments" when you reply to a post. This will make it easier to figure out what is going on.
 
You've used the gnome race from the Midgard world - so that race would have its own set of ARTs, separate from the standard gnome race's set. That one apparently doesn't get to use the normal ARTs for the standard gnome race.
 
That appears to be the problem. I just switched off Midgard and that helped. Thanks again for everyone's help.
