Mystic Theurge - Early entry

With the new official ruling from the dev team at Paizo regarding early entry how would I go about updating to make the MT work properly in HL?

PS: For quick reference, SLA's can meet the requirement for prestige classes that require spell casting. So if you have a 2nd level SLA it meets the MT requirement for casting 2nd level spells.

That we do not currently follow this errata is a bug - please report bugs through the stickied link to our bug tracking system.

This is a known issue, so it's not something you need to report again.

Mathias,
In the meantime is there a way I can make a change that would allow me to remove the error message?

I have noted interestingly that the prestige class itself can make you qualify for the prestige class.

Another words, if you were a 2nd level wizard, 2nd level cleric, and took Mystic Theurge level 1 you do not get the error because you CAN cast 2nd level divine and arcane spells.

Should I add that to the bug section?

Properly handling the prereq is a major hassle, that I have not worked out how to accomplish yet. Just deleting it would be a simple matter of making a replacement of the class level for this class (you just need to copy the class level, not the class itself to fool with a prereq).

I highly doubt Hero Lab will ever be able to compensate for cases where adding just a prestige class makes you legal for that prestige class. It will always be up to the user to be careful how they add things like that. It would require rebuilding the entire system, so that it forced you to add things in order, so that it could test everything's validity at the time it was added. That is not a change I want to have to make, because it would also mean very bad things for the ease of use - you wouldn't be able to add more class levels until you had assigned every skill point, feat, and class option available at that level, and deleting a class level (because you changed your mind about the way you were going) would require deleting everything added with that class level.

I think it's easy enough to just ignore the casting prerequisite error(s) that get thrown jasharen so long as you (and your GM) know why you're able to get in early. As you already noticed, as you level the MT, you'll get the caster level requirement and the error will go away.
