SR 5th ed. Mystic adepts and split magic

I was wondering if it was possible to add a house rule that would duplicate the way mystic adepts split their magic in 4th edition. My table has been using this as a house rule to balance adepts instead of taking away enchanting from Forbidden Arcana. Thank You.
