Multiple exclusion groups for items

OK, I'm switching over a stack of options to items, but I'm stuck in a loop on one thing.

I have three "levels" of Heroic traits, some models can take 25 points, some 50 and some 100.

I had set this up with linksets for each level, with the options in each linkset that pulled from the correct exclusion group.

But, now my option is populated by a wild card "*" of items so I can't specify exclusions on it. I can on the items, but if I do so I think I wind up creating each item three times; once for each level of traits.

Any ideas?

Why not use a stat based exclusion group... it's what we use in WH40K.

Make a stat called "traitlimit". For each model that can purchase these traits, set the stat for the appropriate point limit. Create an exclusion group called "traits" with a limit of 0 to @traitlimit. Then in the linkset for the traits set their exclusion group usage for the "traits" exlusion to $.

Exactly. For details, see the "How To" chapter of the docs and the topic entitled "Handling Units with Resource Pools".
