Multiple Base Items for a Custom Item?

One rule in Pathfinder is the ability to add new abilities to existing magical items - so you could have, say, a Ring of Invisibility that's ALSO a Ring of Protection +Whatever. Unfortunately, at the moment, I don't see any way of combining item effects outside of the editor, messing around with the Adjust tabs, or equipping multiple items and getting a lot of red text.

So... my question is this: Given Hero Lab's programming, is it realistically feasible to add an option that will let you create a magic item, select a slot for it, and have multiple base items providing the effects? Maybe with a priority function to say which takes precedence if there's a conflict?

While such a system is not impossible, it would entail a large investment of time and effort. Given that the editor allows copying and examining how the base items work, cobbling together one item which does what two existing items do isn't that hard, IMO. I don't think a project like this is likely to happen anytime soon, sorry!

Fair enough. ^^ The cost to develop any new feature is always a consideration, and I can't object if it's not practical for you. I suppose I'm off to study the Editor some more, then!

Well if you have any questions, feel free to post them here on the boards. Even if I am not around to answer, there are many other helpful people around!
