Moving Custom Content to New Folder

I finally finished creating the custom content that I wanted (so far), but realized that much of it is campaign specific and might not be appropriate in the future. If I create a new folder in the data/pathfinder folder (the one where custom content shows up) and move my custom content into the new folder, will HL still be able to find/apply it?

Normally, I'd just try it and see, but I've already managed to get one "Wow, did you screw up! Please wait while we try to fix the damage you've done" message (a paraphrase, of course), and don't want to risk another.

It would probably work better to mark your content with a source:
Pick a custom entity,
Go to the source section,
Select -New Source-,
Enter the name for your source in Source Name along with a short unique ID,
Save and 'test' the item to recompile the new source into the program code.

After doing that you can go to your other items, click source, and your custom source should appear in the list. Then when you are editing a character you can toggle the custom items on or off from the Configure Hero dialog.

If you have many custom items it may be easier to do this by following the first step to create the source, then editing the file in XML to copy & paste the source string.
