Moving a character to a different portfolio - Is it possible?

As per the title, is it possible to move a character to a different portfolio? If so, can it be done on both the desktop client and the iPad?
 
On the desktop, in the portfolio menu, choose "Import Hero From Portfolio". That's not available on the iPad - there you can only create a new character within an existing portfolio, not import existing characters. (Tap the icon that looks like a head and shoulders at the top right).
