Monsters Vs Heros

I realize that you build your PC's (heros) in a portfolio together. However, do you build the monsters in that same portfolio? Or do you build a separate portfolio for Monster races?

Assuming you build ie monsters in a separate portfolio, how do you get them into the tactical console with the hero's when there is a combat?

Figured it out:

I've got a portfolio called "Monsters". I then create a portfolio for each encounter that I build, and import the various monsters needed from the Monster Portfolio. This way, when the encounter starts, I can (with the Hero's portfolio open), import the "encounter a" (or whatever) portfolio into my tactical control, and combat's on! Then, simply delete the monsters from the hero portfolio, and we're back to normal.....

Does anyone else handle this differently? I'd love to see/hear what others are doing.
